Our learners at Rio Mozilla Club have expressed their wishes to learn how to become youtube stars. YouTube is extremely popular with our learners demographics and it is their primary form of video consumption (more than TV or Cinema). To provide the digital skills needed for them to read, write and participate in online video making and sharing, we begun a series of activities to teach cinematography skills and how they apply to online video channels.
The feedback and engagement have been really positive and we're counting this as a huge win for our club. Learners are already requesting more activities and we're scrambling to build the necessary curriculum.
Below you will find the documentation on our first activity which teaches about Camera Shot Sizes and Angles. This has been tested in two venues so far and received positive feedback. We'd like to know your impressions and comments!
We already did a second event focused on narrative structure and scriptwriting which we will document shortly.
